DC Food Faves:: Restaurant Round Up

Just so you know, this post is all about food.

The past few weeks have been filled with great eating in the DC area. As much as I LOVE descriptions of restaurants on the price, atmosphere, and the ingredients, for this post, I thought I’d just let the pictures speak for themselves. (Top photo: El Pollo Rico in Arlington, VA is an awesome value. A plate of juicy broiled chicken and 2 sides for $6.00)

Korean Barbeque at Honey Pig. I’m obsessed with the spicy cucumbers. Avoid this place on a weekend night, or be prepared to wait a long time. You could always bide your time at the karaoke place next door, though.

Below are pictures from a casual late dinner in the Bar at Restaurant Eve. Old Town, Alexandria was packed one weekend night recently, so we opted for a cheese platter and homemade chips and dip at this cozy place. If you’re looking for creative cocktails, Restaurant Eve serves up the best seasonal versions.

After a chilly evening at the Mt Vernon Candelight Tour, we met our friends for a lovely dinner at Bastille, where we had shrimp fritters, burgers with foie gras, roasted duck, and apple tarte tatin.

Finally, a meal of Doro Wat and Shiro w/ Injera at Meaza Ethiopian Restaurant.

What have you been eating lately?
