Flashback Friday: Vermont Is Open For Fall

This post is a flashback to Oct 2011.

We went to Stowe, Vermont to view fall foliage. In Japan it was perfectly normal to travel somewhere for the sole purpose of contemplating leaves or cherry blossoms, but I realized this must seem a somewhat odd travel objective in the States based on numerous blank confused looks by friends.

But for me, it was wonderful to experience the colors of fall (and the apple cider donuts of course).

  1. WELCOME back, Mary! Thank you for sharing such pretty photos. You look great, as always, and many congrats on the new home. Cheese…so you have met my arch-enemy? 🙂 Thank you for popping by to say hello, I have missed you.

  2. As I just commented back to you on my blog….welcome back! it’s great to see you around again! and congrats on the house. And DC? I live an hour and 15 from Capitol Hill (when I drive at supersonic speeds)…perhaps we will run into each other one of these days!?

  3. Yay! I am so happy youre back! Ive thought about you over the past several months, wondering how your move back to the States went. Glad you are enjoying it. Vermont is beautiful and Id love to try one of those donuts!

  4. Good to see you back Mary! And congratulations on the move and your new digs! What a change! Look forward to reading your posts again!

p.s. you have no idea how much I miss donuts and krispy kreme in general. They have something similar here but in no way does it replace a donut.
